Religion, fiestas and beliefs

One area in which the complexity of religious beliefs and sentiments are shown is the “fiestas”. In this section catholic celebrations are looked at, with particular attention given to a special type of religious worship which revolves around the virgins and patron saints, in which religious feeling and local pride is merged.
