Popular architecture
One of the most interesting as well as one of the most unknown aspects of the area’s ethnographic heritage is the agrarian house, which is strange in a region where rural life has been historically dominant. The house, its form, the distribution of its rooms and its construction features are all direct evidence of the way of life which has shaped the local culture and which forms an important part of Orxetan history.
Lavadero.
Orxeta cuenta con un lavadero tradicional tallado en piedra de gran valor etnológico, junto a la Font dels Banyets, en el Carrer Major. Presenta una cubierta de época contemporánea y sigue en pleno uso en la actualidad. Recibe el agua de la misma acequia que abastece y distribuye a toda la huerta de Orxeta. Según testimonios orales, ocupa el lugar donde antiguamente existía un abrevadero para las caballerías y bestias de carga, hoy en día desaparecido.
