Insects
Insects (from the Latin insectus, derived from insecare, to cut up, make an incision, due to the marks in the shape of incisions that are on their bodies) are arthropods which use tracheal respiration. Their bodies are divided into three different sections; head, thorax and abdomen. They have a pair of antennae, six legs, nearly always one or two pairs of wings and they develop by metamorphosis.
