Natural Heritage.

The traveller stumbles almost by chance upon Orxeta, which is sheltered gently in a beautiful fertile valley on the banks of the river Sella. It is surrounded by imposing mountains which protect it as well as shape one of the most magnificent and best preserved natural surroundings in the whole of the Valencia region.

The more observant visitor can discover a great variety of wildlife perfectly adapted to the different local environments, from the wettest zones such as the Amadorio Reservoir to the craggiest and most inaccessible areas such as the "L'Estret" gorge. This gorge is a sanctuary for large birds of prey and is also habitat for a large number of endemic plant species.

If we add to all of this the advantage of a having a typical Mediterranean climate, cooled by the proximity of the sea, we have all the necessary ingredients to turn the visit into a great outdoor experience.
